While browsing some comments from the How To Create Custom Sample Kits Using FL Studio Edison video on our SampleSimple YouTube Channel, a SampleSimple YouTube Subscriber asked the following question about FL Studio Edison’s audio wave form. We had a simple answer for ‘em.

OG314 asked:
“i cant get the edison thing to be in waveform its always a fiery looking thingy”

What is OG314 talking about?

Well, if you load or record an audio sound sample into Edison, you’ll be presented with the normal audio waveform as depicted below.

The fiery looking thingy OG314 was seeing, in Edison, was the audio Spectrum View as shown below.

To get Edison in normal audio Waveform mode to properly view your audio sound sample, simply press the S key.

The S key also acts as a key-toggling-switch allowing you to switch back and forth between Normal audio view and Spectrum audio when viewing your audio sample within Edison.

You may right click the audio sample in the Edison audio window as shown below.
