The two most important steps when you are preparing to record and sample audio into FL Studio is selecting your ASIO-based soundcard device driver from both the Audio Settings Input/Output list as well as the Mixer INput list. Without setting these two settings, you can forget about recording and sampling your vocals, a vinyl record turntable, or any other audio sound source into FL Studio.
We’ve added two screenshots below to assist in where to find these lists when setting up and configuring your FL Studio recording and sampling environment.

When I select ASIO4All at the in\output box in audio settings, it’s greyed out in the mixer in settings box. I have a SB Audigy Se sound card.
In the Mixer IN list, what do you have listed?
