The LOOP Button in the sQeetz MPC Skin for FL Studio 8 functions exactly the same as the PAT/SNG button selectors found in the default FL Studio skin.

In our article about Understanding the MPC Skin LOOP Button we explained that the LOOP button functions as a toggle switch giving the idea that it acts differently from the default skin. However, we’d like to clear this up, as the LOOP Button in the MPC Skin functions just as the “individual” PAT/SNG button selectors do.

The default skin’s PAT/SNG button selectors actually share the same space for selecting, or in this case toggling, the PAT/SNG options. This means that if you were to click the PAT button selector while in SONG(SNG) mode to activate PATTERN mode, you would activate it. If you clicked the PAT button selector again, it would switch to SONG mode. To get an idea of this, click the PAT button selector continuously a couple times. It’ll switch back and forth from SONG (SNG) and PATTERN (PAT) modes.

The sQeetz MPC Skin for FL Studio 8 can be downloaded here at sQeetz’ FL Studio skin site. He also has some instrumentals and music audio files on there to listen to.
